FINALLY, I have a decent pair of turtlenecks--it's actually my dad's, I just took it from his closet. Hate to break it to you, but I'm a kind of person who doesn't wear trends when they're still trending because I hate when I get to wear the same thing people are wearing in public places and worst, in events! It's not that people can't resist comparing you to another wearer and belting the famous "Who wore it better?" line--although I do feel a little disappointed if I didn't wore it better--it's just that I hate twinning, besides if that person is my boyfriend or something; and that's why I stay away from trendy items and kind of stick to classic pieces. I have been obsessed with turtlenecks ever since I found them in the popular page in Instagram and here's the tea on that: Turtlenecks are not that big here in the Philippines, for one reason only--THE WEATHER. Oh gosh if only you've lived in the Philippines for seconds, it, literally, is like an oven everywhere here--except in air-conditioned places of course--and sporting a cashmere turtleneck here, you deserve a place in a psychiatric ward. Thank God due to advances of technology, turtlenecks of different materials are made so that it will be wearable year-round and I can't wait to get myself a hold of a turtleneck made of thin-fabric.
