#CONCRETEJUNGLE

Summer's like a block away and finals is like the day after tomorrow! Thank God I have a spare time to do this shoot; I didn't just use that spare time for reading books and hibernate in my bed but I got out, hail a taxi and made my way to the concrete jungles of Cebu. Seeing gardens in the midst of high-rise buildings are like oases you've found in the middle of Sahara desert--while riding a camel, heavily clad in Dior ala Sex In The City 2--it is very unusual, almost rare but it is a stress reliever and a sight everyone, living within the city, should behold.

Accessories: Robinsons Department Store bracelet and Invicta watch.

Shoes: Sperry Top-Sider

Colors are what define summer: colorful beach balls, triangl bikinis, and wayfarers of different shades. The key to dress comfortably under the heat of the sun is to wear light colors. While studying Physics for my finals, I have found out that light colors are ideal reflectors while black colors are ideal absorbers; it means that the latter tend to reflect light away instead of absorbing and emitting them like what the former does. Therefore, if you were black fabrics during summer it will tend to be hotter in your part so wear light colors. Blacks are ideal for winter because it will absorb the radiation of the sun and emit it to your body keeping you warm.

Outift: Vintage button-downs and Ashworth pants.

Eyewear: Raybans

In my ensemble today, I wore it two ways so that I can show you how untucking and tucking a shirt can make a difference. Tucking a shirt can emphasize--if you're a Kim Kardashian--your derriere or hips, the most coveted curve in the world next to a million dollar smile--or your "legzz for dayzzz" if you're wearing skinny jeans. It gives you this air of sophistication with a touch from the past. You can pull off this look wearing the traditional ensemble which consists of: Plain white button-downs, denim jeans, and a pair of flats. Now, you can channel your inner Miranda Kerr model-off-duty street style.

On the other hand, untucking a shirt gives you this laid-back aura ala Cara Delevingne "I woke up wearing this" look. It definitely hides your hips or derriere, ideal to pull-off if you're insecure with these parts of your body. Untucked shirts make you look cool and unconstrained, makes you move freely and enables air to circulate throughout your body.

For me, both are stylish. As long as you know how to manipulate the look, you're good to go!
